Father's Day Grilled Steak

It’s no wonder that dads across America receive tools and gizmos for grilling on Father’s Day because outdoor cooking has been their world. In a caveman sort of way, men have been the keepers of the grill and rotisserie. They are the ones to slather ribs with barbecue sauce, and they love to get hamburgers and hot dogs sizzling over the coals.

So, this Father’s Day, why not treat dear old dad to something all-American and sure to please — a grilled steak. And it could not be easier, even if you don’t grill outdoors. Use our Old Mill Devil’s Backbone Seasoning and a Lodge cast iron grill pan for cooking.

Once you heat the grill pan on top of the stove until it’s searingly hot, brush it with a little oil, and then lay on the steak, dinner is almost ready! Add corn on the cob with plenty of butter, a bowl of coleslaw or potato salad, and make Dad’s favorite cake or buy our Old Mill Pecan Pie for dessert.
